Our story
More than
a haircut.
GD Barber Lounge opened on Curtis Rd with a simple idea — that the north deserves a barbershop worth planning your week around. Not a queue and a number. A place where someone knows your name and remembers how you like it.
It's owned by Giles Dieudone, and it's African-owned — textured hair is what we cut every day: coily, curly, waves, the lot. If you've ever sat down and quietly hoped the barber knew what they were doing with your hair, you can stop doing that here.
We cut for tradies coming off site, kids getting their first proper fade, and blokes who've been in the same chair for years. Same care either way. There's usually a movie on and the conversation is optional.
Craft
Every cut gets the same attention, whether it's a full restyle or a fortnightly tidy-up. No rushing the last ten minutes.
Conversation
Talk footy, talk nothing at all. The chair is yours and we read the room.
Consistency
The cut you loved last month is the cut you get this month. We keep notes so you don't have to explain twice.
